There's no official walking trail, just lots of criss-crossing paths through farmland and woodland. You will be rewarded with just as much pretty undulating countryside as on the other routes, as it enjoys a fantastic stretch of walking along the Chiltern Way. Please be aware that you have to cross a busy road twice on this route, so it might not be suitable for some walkers. You don't even need a map. Ashwell Springs. This walk is much longer and basically takes you on a large loop through the Hertfordshire countryside and woodlands that you'll find between Datchworth and Watton at Stone. Monken Hadley4.5 milesThis second route option is basically an extended version of the Hadley Woods walk for those of you with a bit more time to explore this area of woodland. There are no stiles or gates. 5. Dovestone Reservoir is located in the north of the Peak District near the town of Oldham in Greater Manchester. Of course the long hill is quite a strenuous walk, but that will make your reward at the Fox and Duck all the more enjoyable. You would need to park in one of the nearby residential streets. Monken Hadley2 milesThis first route is a nice short stroll around the woodlands of Monken Hadley Common and Hadley Wood close to the border between Hertfordshire and Greater London. Breachwood Green2.75 milesThis first route is a simple short stroll in the arable farmland and countryside to the northwest of Breachwood Green, Hertfordshire. It also then visits the All Saints church before descending back to Dane End.
